Former Residents:
They resume residence after an absence of not less than one year. Effective June 3, 1980, any single item of personal or household effects that was acquired after March 31, 1977, and is valued at more than 10,000$ is subject to regular duty and taxes on the EXCESS AMOUNT. This could apply to an automobile, travel trailer, boat, private, aircraft, a piece of jewellery or anything else!
